Reference 14704 is a well-known Seamaster automatic from the late 1950s to early 1960s, powered by the caliber 591 and housed in a 34 mm case, most commonly in stainless steel, though gold-plated and rarer yellow gold versions also exist within the wider family.
Compared with earlier bumper automatics, the 14704 reflects Omega’s transition to slimmer, more modern rotor-driven movements and cleaner case lines.
This example in yellow gold, reference 14704-1, dates from the late 1950s.
