#19.833.xxx was produced in 1963.
It has an incredibly rare feature, a grey-blue dial. Less than 5 ST 105.002s have been observed so far with this type of dial.
This dial is so-called “Pre-professional” because it lacks the PROFESSIONAL designation specific of Speedmasters with asymmetrical casebands. However, this is not the standard black dial, this is one of very few and enigmatic grey-blue dials. Due to ageing, the original matt grey-blue finish is barely visible, but it can be identified by another unique characteristic: the stamping of the minute scale and of SWISS MADE is positioned more outside.
This has two consequences:
There are several types of grey-blue dials, and their existence remains a mystery because they have never been published in Omega catalogs. It has not been determined whether they correspond to prototypes or tests.
The discolouration, due to the oxidation of the original colour, is here extreme and heterogeneous, resulting in a very particular patchwork pattern. This type of tropicalisation is very rare.
The result is an amazing and probably unique look for this watch, which represents a great opportunity for any Speedmaster collector.

The Omega Speedmaster, born in 1957, is one of the most iconic wristwatches ever produced. Since 1965, it has been the choice of space programs for over half a century and has been associated with some of mankind’s greatest space adventures, earning it the name The Moonwatch.
Naturally, beyond its professional use for more than sixty years, the Speedmaster, with its incredible history and its timeless design, has appealed to a much wider public throughout the world.
The reference ST 105.002 corresponds to the renaming of reference CK 2998 and therefore shares the same features as the late CK 2998s, in particular sub-references: 2998-61 and 2998-62.
Nevertheless, the latest ST 105.002s have been fitted with baton hands. Rapidly replaced by ST 105.003 reference, its production is estimated at 2’000-2’500 copies, from late 1962 to mid-1964.
