Reference 2648 is an early-1950s Omega Constellation, fitted with the caliber 354 and chronometer-certified, as indicated on the dial.
The case measures approximately 34 mm and is often found in solid gold, as in the present example.
This particular watch is notable for being manufactured in France, as evidenced by the hallmarks on the case.
For tax reasons, some watches from that era were assembled in France: only the movement was shipped from Omega in Switzerland, and the case was then manufactured locally.
