Reference 166.002 is a 1960s Seamaster Date, typically fitted with the automatic caliber 565.
Cases are found in stainless steel and steel/gold combinations, generally measuring around 34 mm, with a date display at 3 o’clock.
The caliber 565 features a quick-set date mechanism, reflecting Omega’s more advanced automatic architecture of the period.
This stainless steel example is distinguished by a black dial with luminous indexes – the only one in the collection – and white baton hands, giving it a slightly sportier character.
