This watch is a very nice Omega Cosmic Jumbo size, reference 2486-2, produced in the early 1950s.
It is gold-filled (80 microns), with an amazing cream dial and a beautiful patina, and the overall condition is very good.
Finding an Omega Cosmic model in such condition is quite difficult nowadays, especially because many dials have been redone.

The Cosmic collection was introduced in 1947 and Omega had it in production until the mid 1950s. It was certainly one of the most exclusive watches the brand could offer at that time. The Cosmic watches came in two sizes (34-35mm and 37.5mm), and in four different case materials: steel, gold filled, gold-capped, and solid gold variants (14K and 18K). There were six different references:
It seems that all of them came on a leather strap with matching buckles.
The watch produced with many variants of dials, with had all a very simple layout:
The caliber is the 27 DL (AM PC): DL stands for triple date and moonphase, PC refers to the shock absorber, AM is for antimagnetic, and 27 is for the movement lines number.
