About this watch

The Omega Speedmaster, born in 1957, is one of the most iconic wristwatches ever produced. Since 1965, it has been the choice of space programs for over half a century and has been associated with some of mankind’s greatest space adventures, earning it the name The Moonwatch.

Naturally, beyond its professional use for more than sixty years, the Speedmaster, with its incredible history and its timeless design, has appealed to a much wider public throughout the world.

To celebrate the 40 years of the Speedmaster, OMEGA launched a limited series of 500 watches for the Italian market in 1997. This model featured a cream-colored dial, a caliber 1863 movement and a sapphire-crystal caseback. The front glass was also in sapphire crystal, which was unusual for the time because the normal luxury models were only fitted with such glasses in around 2002 on the PIC 3573.50 model.

It was also one of the first series with luminova hands and dial.

#48.370.xxx is in perfect condition, earning a Watch Score of 9.8. Unfortunately, it is presented without its original box and documents. This results in a negative Extra Score of – 0.5.

Our WATCHFID Rating is 9.3.
