About the model
This limited edition commemorating the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing is a steel model in a 6,969-unit run.
It combines unprecedented details and nods to the ST 105.012, the first model on the moon.
Its dial features a step like those of the 1960s, marking off the dark gray central zone and the black minutes scale background zone. Its applied hour markers and the Ω logo are made of Moonshine gold. Note the 11 on the minutes scale, referring to the mission number. The texts and the minutes scale are golden. The counter at 9 o’clock features a laser-engraved depiction of Aldrin going down the ladder of the Eagle module, symbolizing the moment when the first watch alighted on the moon.
The bezel is made of Moonshine gold with a black ceramic insert and Ceragold inscriptions.
The hands are also made of Moonshine gold, with the exception of the chronograph seconds hand.
The caseback center bears a footprint and Armstrong’s legendary words: “That’s one small step for a man – One giant leap for mankind”. The caseback bezel has inscriptions typical of limited series.
The movement of the watch is the rhodium-plated caliber 3861. This movement is the first hand-wound Master Chronometer movement.
The bracelet, inspired by the original 1506, the crown and the short pushers are reminders of the reference ST 105.012.
This limited edition deserved a presentation box worthy of the occasion: a generously sized case, covered with a white fabric reminiscent of astronaut suits. Inside, the watch is displayed on an Eagle module display, while the set also includes various badges, a Velcro Velcro strap and a magnifying glass.
