The Rolex Datejust is one the most iconic watch of the story, recognizable at first glance with its timeless design. It is also a watch appreciated by both women and men, thanks to its size (36 mm).
Rolex introduced the caliber 3035 in 1977 and fitted it to a new Datejust generation in that same year. This successor to the caliber 1570 introduced a higher beat (28,000 mph versus 19,800 mph), and crucially, a quickset date.
Aesthetically, the most notable difference setting the 16xxx references apart from their 16xx predecessors is a completely flat dial.
The purpose of this document is to determine whether the constituent parts of the watch are conform to the model reference /period or not, and to value their condition and importance.
