About the Model

Launched in 1980, this model is the first multi-memory LCD watch with microprocessors, whose caliber 1640 offers, in addition to the traditional hours-minutes-seconds, 9 functions that can be used simultaneously and can be programmed by a single device: an electronic touch button.

This capacitive sensor, developed by the Center Electronique Horloger in Neuchâtel, allows the user, by simply touching and moving his finger, to choose the desired interactions.

At the time of its commercialization, it was the most complete and most advanced watch of its kind.

The functions of the watch are as follows:

  • chronograph (1/100th second), 24h totalizer, split, lap and one-two-stop,
  • timer (countdown),
  • alarm 1,
  • alarm 2,
  • time signal (ringtone),
  • diary 1 (storage of a first date),
  • diary 2 (storage of a second date),
  • second time zone,
  • day and date calendar.
