Yes, a little Swatch, given to me in 1984 by my aunt, who lived in Meyrin, near Geneva, with her husband, a microtechnology engineer for the Swiss watch industry.
I have no memory of the watch itself, but I do remember feeling utterly marvelled when I put it on my wrist.

On every birthday, or for any important celebration, if I’m asked what I’d like, I say: a watch.
I’m lucky enough to have loved ones who have granted my wishes (not always, but often), and as a result, each of these watches – from a Casio G-Shock to a Cartier Tank Must – is linked to an important moment in my life.
Pfffft! There are dozens of names on my dream list.
