I’ve been a professional photographer for 25 years, and I’m passionate about this field. What I particularly love is the sense of time; I don’t do fashion photography, but rather nude photography, where natural beauty is highlighted. I celebrate the beauty of every woman through a unique lens. That’s my approach as a photographer.

DO YOU REMEMBER YOUR FIRST WATCH?
I got my first watch when I turned 18 — a Rolex Oyster with a turquoise dial — but unfortunately, it was stolen.
WHICH 3 WATCHES DO YOU CONSIDER THE MOST ICONIC?
– My father had a very beautiful, very slim watch with a large dial — Piaget style — and it really suited him.
– My mother had a very pretty Cartier Baignoire that I loved because it was so refined and delicate, with a very slim bracelet.
– The Rolex Oyster remains an easy-to-wear watch; it goes with everything. I love the contrast, for example, of this sporty watch worn with a dress.
THE LAST WATCH YOU BOUGHT?
My Rolex Oyster with its dark blue dial.
I love it! It’s for a sophisticated adventurer!
DO YOU GENERALLY LIKE VINTAGE ITEMS?
I don’t really live through objects from the past, but I do appreciate beautiful things and beautiful objects.
APART FROM WATCHES, WHAT ARE YOUR MAIN INTERESTS?
I need to draw inspiration for my work from a variety of sources…
I really love traveling and drawing, and I’m also passionate about collages.
I also have an unconditional love for movies — I can’t get enough of them! Directors like Östlund, Wim Wenders… I spend all my time at the MK2 movie theater!
WHICH ITEMS OR ACCESSORIES DO YOU ALWAYS TAKE WITH YOU WHEN YOU LEAVE HOME?
I always travel with my Rimowa suitcase, which is perfect for protecting my camera gear.
Right now, I’m going back to 645 film photography.
A NOTEWORTHY ANECDOTE ASSOCIATED WITH ONE OF YOUR WATCHES?
My son and I both wear the same watch — a stainless-steel Rolex Oyster with a dark blue dial.
He got it for his 18th birthday, and for me, that choice was a no-brainer.
IF YOU HIT THE JACKPOT IN THE LOTTERY, WHAT IS THE DREAM WATCH YOU WOULD BUY?
In my opinion, a watch doesn’t necessarily have to be about price.
I really like the Poiray Ma Première, for example — it’s very timeless, and you can change its look with its many straps, which is a lot of fun. A black patent leather strap, for instance, gives it a completely different look. Chanel also has some very understated and pretty models — always rectangular.
WHAT’S ON YOUR WRIST TODAY?
A Rolex Oyster.
A PLACE EVERYONE SHOULD VISIT AT LEAST ONCE IN THEIR LIFETIME?
Naoshima: it is located between Tokyo and Kyoto; you have to take a ferry to get there — it’s a fabulous place in Japan!
It’s an island in Japan dedicated to artists; it used to be a fishing village.
The island’s star architect is Tadao Andō. He designed the Chichū Art Museum, an underground building bathed in natural light that houses three installations by American artist James Turrell and Claude Monet’s Water Lilies.
You can also explore the Lee Ufan Museum, co-designed with the artist himself.
You can stay overnight and dine at the museum — I love it!
Another place I recommend: the Bourse du Commerce in Paris, a blend of modern and historic elements.
IF YOU HAD A TELEPORTER, WHERE WOULD YOU SPEND THE NEXT 24 HOURS?
Naoshima.
WHAT SINGLE PERSONAL ITEM WOULD YOU LIKE TO TAKE WITH YOU TO A DESERT ISLAND?
My camera and a small object that my son supposedly gave me.
