Since 1995 and the release of GoldenEye, an OMEGA Seamaster has adorned the wrist of cinema’s most famous spy: James Bond, Agent 007. Whether the Diver 300M, the Planet Ocean 600M, or the Aqua Terra 150M, the Seamaster accompanies Bond on his most perilous missions as well as in his most elegant moments. Far more than a mere accessory, his watch has become a true ally, saving the agent in countless situations thanks to the built-in gadgets developed by Q Lab: detonators, lasers, grappling hooks, and explosive charges.
Two actors portrayed James Bond during this period: Pierce Brosnan from 1995 to 2002, and Daniel Craig since 2006.
Naturally, both actors wore these Seamasters on screen and during promotional events, but it is worth emphasizing that this partnership is ultimately built around the character himself, making Bond a fictional brand ambassador. OMEGA made full use of this association through major international advertising campaigns accompanying each film release.
At the same time, OMEGA developed several commemorative limited editions, distinct from the watches seen on screen. However, Spectre (2015) and No Time to Die (2021) marked a change: Bond wore a special edition identical to the one released commercially.
We have chosen to distinguish between two clearly defined categories and therefore to split this analysis in two articles:
40 Years of James Bond (2002)
Seamaster Diver 300M Chronometer
The first special edition marked the 40th anniversary of James Bond, who made his screen debut with Dr. No in 1962.
Produced in a limited run of 10,007 pieces, it is based on the Diver 300M, reference 2531.80, powered by the automatic chronometer Caliber 1120.
The blue dial replaces the traditional wave pattern with a mosaic of 007 logos, echoed by a discreet 007 motif just below the “CHRONOMETER” inscription. The caseback is also reworked: its center features the OMEGA name and logo alongside the 007 emblem, framed by the iconic spiral motif evoking a gun barrel, while the outer ring is engraved with “40 YEARS OF JAMES BOND – LIMITED SERIES.”

Casino Royale (2006)
Seamaster Diver 300M Co-Axial Chronometer
This limited edition marked Daniel Craig’s debut in Casino Royale. It is based on the 41 mm Diver 300M, powered by the Co-Axial Caliber 2500.
The blue dial draws inspiration from the iconic opening credits, featuring a spiraling pattern that evokes the inside of a gun barrel. The OMEGA logo and name are no longer printed but applied. The 007 motif appears on the seconds hand and is engraved at the center of the caseback. The individual serial number — 00000/10007, as this is a pre-series example — is engraved along the caseback rim.

This 45.5 mm Planet Ocean 600M, issued in a limited edition of 5,007 pieces, is also dedicated to Casino Royale.
The black dial and bezel are identical to those of the corresponding standard model, reference 2900.50.91.
The differences lie in the seconds hand, which features a discreet orange 007 pistol motif, and in the caseback, engraved with the film’s logo and the individual number within the series.
The watch is fitted with a black rubber strap of contemporary design, corresponding to one of the two configurations of this material offered by OMEGA.

This 5,007-piece limited edition Planet Ocean 600M pays tribute to Quantum of Solace. The 45.5 mm model is powered by the Co-Axial Caliber 2500.
The film’s title is embossed on the dial, whose textured surface evokes the grip of Bond’s signature Walther PPK pistol. The steel bracelet and caseback feature the 007 logo, while the individual serial number is engraved on the caseback.

Launched in 2008, the James Bond Collector’s Piece is not tied to a specific film or anniversary, but instead celebrates the ongoing partnership between OMEGA and James Bond.
This Diver 300M features a black lacquered dial without the traditional wave motif, highlighted by the Seamaster name printed in red. The seconds hand is personalized with a 007-logo counterweight. The central medallion on the caseback bears the OMEGA name and logo alongside the 007 emblem, while the outer ring is engraved with “James Bond Collector’s Piece”.

Launched in 2012, this 41 mm Diver 300M was created to mark the 50th anniversary of James Bond’s on-screen debut. It was produced in a numbered edition of 11,007 pieces.
Its black dial is decorated with a diagonal pattern of 007 logos. The matte black ceramic bezel features a white diving scale, with the number 50 highlighted in red to commemorate the anniversary. The caseback is stamped with a gun-barrel motif, centered on a gilded medallion reminiscent of a bullet base, engraved “JAMES BOND 50 YEARS”.

After a four-year rest, 007 returned in Skyfall.
For the occasion, OMEGA introduced a special 42 mm Planet Ocean in a limited edition of 5,007 pieces. This second-generation model is powered by the Manufacture Co-Axial Caliber 8500, offering a 60-hour power reserve, and features both a ceramic bezel and a transparent caseback. It differs from the standard version in several respects, notably the grid pattern on the dial.

This is a unique 18K yellow gold OMEGA Seamaster Aqua Terra created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Goldfinger.
It features an 18K yellow gold case with a dial featuring a texture reminiscent of a gold nugget. The central seconds hand is distinguished by an 18K yellow gold counterweight shaped as the iconic 007 logo.
At its heart is the manufacture Master Co-Axial Caliber 8501, with its characteristic 18K yellow gold rotor and bridges visible through a transparent sapphire caseback, along with an 18K yellow gold oscillating weight.

Spectre (2015)
Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M Co-Axial Chronometer
To commemorate Spectre, OMEGA introduced two models: the Diver 300M worn by James Bond in the film and described in the “WORN” section, and — for the first time as a commemorative edition — an Aqua Terra 150M.
Measuring 41.5 mm, it was produced in a numbered series of 15,007 pieces, a nod to OMEGA’s new internal standard for Master Co-Axial movements, resistant to 15,000 gauss. With a touch of humor, both the caseback and the dial are inscribed “>15,007 GAUSS” instead of the usual 15,000.
Beyond its anti-magnetic properties, the emphasis is placed on Bond’s aristocratic heritage, with his family coat of arms rendered as a tapestry-like motif on the dial and echoed on the yellow seconds hand.

Commander’s Watch (2017)
Seamaster Diver 300M Co-Axial Chronometer – Steel
Inspired by the Royal Navy, this edition pays tribute to James Bond’s rank of Commander.
Issued in a limited series of 7,007 pieces in steel, this Diver 300M features a white ceramic dial with blue and red accents, a red seconds hand bearing the 007 logo, and a blue ceramic bezel with the first 15 minutes highlighted in red.
The transparent caseback reveals a stylized rotor evoking the rank of Commander, composed of three stripes and a Nelson knot. The watch is fitted with a blue, red, and grey NATO strap.
It was also produced in two far more exclusive versions: a yellow gold edition limited to seven pieces and a unique white gold example.

Seamaster Diver 300M Master Chronometer – Steel
In 2019, OMEGA unveiled a limited edition Seamaster Diver 300M to mark the 50th anniversary of On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, a unique entry in the franchise in which James Bond marries.
The Bond family crest in gold forms the 12 o’clock hour marker, echoed by matching gold hands. The black ceramic dial is decorated with the iconic gun-barrel motif, while the transparent caseback reveals the family coat of arms alongside the Latin motto Orbis non sufficit (“The world is not enough”), underscoring the agent’s aristocratic heritage.
The watch also bears the phrase “We have all the time in the world,” spoken by Bond following the tragic death of his wife.
Each piece in this 7,007-piece limited series carries its individual number engraved on a gold plate affixed to the side of the case middle.

This interpretation differs from the steel edition in one functional aspect: powered by Caliber 8807, it dispenses with the date display. The caseback features the film’s iconic opening sequence, with Bond’s silhouette at the centre of a rotating gun barrel, brought to life by the motion of the seconds hand.
The watch is powered by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Caliber 8806, without a date display, and is fitted with a bracelet whose design recalls the Milanese mesh of vintage dive watches.

The rotating bezel is set with colored diamonds forming a green–orange–yellow gradient, accented by two triangular-cut diamonds at 12 o’clock. These hues echo the Jamaican flag, a tribute to the island where Ian Fleming wrote the James Bond novels.
Powered by the Master Chronometer Caliber 8807, this Diver 300M is presented without a date display.

Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph Master Chronometer
Inspired by the watch featured in 007 First Light, the action-adventure video game, this is the first Bond Diver watch to include a chronograph.
The game will depict James Bond’s origin story, as he embarks on the mission he must complete to earn his licence to kill. In the game, the Seamaster is functional tool, helping Bond to survive thanks to a laser ray.
This 44-mm chronograph is powered by the Master co-axial caliber 9900, visible through a sapphire caseback that bears the title of the game. It is available with a NATO strap.
