1. Do you remember your first watch?

RD: OMEGA Speedmaster Mark II Racing ’69 from Dad.

SD: ROLEX Oysterdate 6694 from Roy.

2. The 3 most iconic watch models?

OMEGA Speedmaster, ROLEX Submariner, AUDEMARS PIGUET Royal Oak.

3. A noteworthy anecdote with one of your watches?

RD: Briefly, lets just think back to that time Sacha and I found an original Speedmaster Alaska III Star Case Radial prototype in Switzerland …

SD: I started working back & forth to Japan in 2006 as sales manager for a Swiss watch company and had stumbled across an old advert at our Tokyo office for the OMEGA Speedmaster ‘Japan Racing’ 2004. My search began and all shops in Japan were already sold out by then as it had been two years already. Finally, I found one in Singapore a few years later via a link to a private classified ad that my colleague in Japan had sent me. Needless to say, I was very excited. I, without much thought, asked for the wire information of the gentleman and wired him the money. A few weeks later, with no news, I asked for a tracking number and got a pic of a postal receipt. A few weeks later, being unable to track the watch as he used a local post office to ship, I started to worry. Then, not sure how long after that, I discovered, in the compartment under my mailbox, a cardboard box with contents described as ‘Toy for Gift / Value SGD 10.00’. Miraculously, the watch had arrived in perfect condition with its stamped papers and a latter from OMEGA Singapore confirming it to be a 3570.40. Today, buying on the internet is done far more carefully, but back then it was more of an adventure.

4. Are you more modern or vintage?

Since opening our business, we don’t buy vintage personally except on rare occasion. So lets say, professionally, we sell only vintage and, personally, we buy modern to wear.

5. I love Speedmasters because …

Both of us love Speedmasters because of the rich history, even before NASA, and their timeless design. These watches have soul and will live on forever.

6. Your favorite Speedmaster?

RD: Snoopy (both versions).

SD: Lesser known CK 2915-3.

7. A single personal item you would take with you for a long stay on the Moon?

Each other of course.

8. You just won the lottery. Do you first buy a sports car or call a financial advisor?

RD: Neither, just watches.

SD: Financial advisor.

9. Where would you spend the next 24 hours if you had a teleporter?

RD: Secluded beach on a desert island.

SD: Kind of wish it was a time machine, but with a teleporter, I would have to say the Moon.

10. How many times a day do you watch … your watch?

It varies greatly, depending on the watch and how much you have going on, but we can average it at 10 times a day.

11. The last watch you bought?

If ordered counts, we both ordered the Speedmaster CK 2915 re-edition.

12. What’s on your wrist today?

RD: Speedmaster Albino (Speedmaster 40th Anniversary) on a brown suede strap.

SD: Speedmaster Japan Racing.

Thank you Roy & Sacha.
